Entertainment and Gaming Applications are the Largest Brain-machine Interface Category in the Consumer Segment: MIC

An analysis of 62 companies selling products and applications with BCI (Brain Computer Interface) built-in shows 66% of their products cater for the consumer market and the remaining 39% for the professional market such as hospitals or research institutes, according to MIC (Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute), a Taipei-based government-backed research institute.

"Among 66% of BCI companies targeting the consumer market, 36% of their products are for entertainment/gaming, 27% for personal training and education, and 10% for daily activities," says Huang Shi-zong, industry analyst with MIC.
